Despite the difficulties of communication and socialization in face-to-face interactions, autistic people have found the opportunity to express their self in social media on the internet, based on narratives that evoke the acceptance of difference as a characteristic of human diversity. It is a struggle for social recognition of the autistic subject, based on identity demands orchestrated by the desire to live according to the originality of each self. In this dissertation, we present paths of recognition of characters who narrate their experiences on the internet as autistic people, who find in virtual spaces the locus to test their own expression and communication skills, witnessing particular ways of experiencing their neurodiversity. As theoretical support, the work appropriates the contributions of authors from sociology, philosophy and psychology, among them, George Mead (1981), Charles Taylor (2011), Paul Ricoeur (2014), and Axel Honneth (2009), in an attempt to explore the relationship of social theory with approaches that shift the subject from the perspective of the neuronormative self to that of the neurodiverse self. The methodological approach adopted virtual ethnography in four internet social media pages managed by autistic adults. We analyzed the content published in these spaces during the period from April to September 2020. In addition, narrative interview scripts were applied with the autistic people responsible for these profiles on the internet, in order to delimit the events and social markers that support the process of construction of personal identity. Data analysis allowed us to survey eight types of themes raised in the digital narrative of autistic people, ranging from the report of cognitive difficulties of the disorder in their daily lives, to the experiences of capacitation, the challenges and limits imposed by the social structures in their functionings, the effects of self-recognition for the acceptance of the autistic identity, as well as the agenda of struggles for social inclusion and empowerment under the register of neurodiversity

Being an interdisciplinary area, Internet of Things presents great challenges to learning. However, it already is and will continue to be part of the daily life and thus requires qualified professionals to advance projects in this area. Apart from acquiring theoretical concepts, students need to put knowledge into practice. This practical learning aims to provide a means of easy assimilation to the student and that can mirror real situations of implementation. This work presents an Internet of Things learning methodology based on the development of environments that enable the student to put theoretical knowledge into practice in a scenario of easy assimilation. It is expected that the student will be able to understand the process of developing Internet of Things projects and the technologies involved in it. The proposed methodology is composed of 5 steps. The student analyzes the development environment, defines the type of implementation to be carried out, develops the hardware, the software and documents of the project. The data architecture together with the methodology allow the student to use and propose various types of development environments, controllers and web applications, being very flexible for learning. The implementation of temperature control was carried out in an aquarium environment. The proposed methodology proved to be efficient for the development of this project, so it can be applied in Internet of Things learning in educational institutions

OBJECTIVE: The aim of the present study was to use facial analysis to determine the effects of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) on nasal morphology in children in the stages of primary and mixed dentition, with posterior cross-bite. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Facial photographs (front view and profile) of 60 patients in the pre-expansion period, immediate post-expansion period and one year following rapid maxillary expansion with a Haas appliance were evaluated on 2 occasions by 3 experienced orthodontists independently, with a 2-week interval between evaluations. The examiners were instructed to assess nasal morphology and had no knowledge regarding the content of the study. Intraexaminer and interexaminer agreement (assessed using the Kappa statistic) was acceptable. RESULTS: From the analysis of the mode of the examiners' findings, no alterations in nasal morphology occurred regarding the following aspects: dorsum of nose, alar base, nasal width of middle third and nasal base. Alterations were only detected in the nasolabial angle in 1.64% of the patients between the pre-expansion and immediate post-expansion photographs. In 4.92% of the patients between the immediate post-expansion period and 1 year following expansion; and in 6.56% of the patients between the pre-expansion period and one year following expansion. CONCLUSIONS: RME performed on children in stages of primary and mixed dentition did not have any impact on nasal morphology, as assessed using facial analysis

The objective of this study is to analyze local, innovative and sustainable development in the three Mesoregions of Alagoas, through intellectual property indicators (patents, trademarks, industrial design and geographical indications). The methodology consists of the analysis of secondary sources extracted from the Statistical Database on Industrial Property (BADEPI), available on the website of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), for the years 2010 to 2017. The results point out marked differences, with the eastern Alagoas mesoregion concentrating the intellectual property indicators with two geographical indications, 95.93% of the patent deposits and 84.73% of the deposits of trademark registrations, as well as industrial designs and computer programs. Agreste Alagoano presents a reasonable amount of intellectual protection, with emphasis on the municipality of Arapiraca. Sertão Alagoano, on the other hand, has the worst situation, low amount of intellectual property, even in a region with a diversified cultural and environmental environment. Thus, it was found that the Mesoregions of Alagoas need an ecosystem that invests in the innovation process in the region, especially the Sertão Alagoano
